Chapter 9- The Settled Score

Mina was tied to a chair. Paris had explained the past to her. She sobbed at her situation. "If you ever loved me, please let me go."

"Even after all this time, you still think this whole business is about you," he smiled with a sinister coy.

"Well isn't it?" she asked.

"My dear. It has gone beyond that. My plans would have worked, but of course, my beloved brother has to ruin everything. You are merely the bait, the final prize of victory." He paced the room.

"What do you want?" she asked the most important question.

"Simple. I will kill my brother and the knights. The senshi I will capture."

"The Negaverse would never keep their part of the trade with you."

"Who said anything about a trade?" With the senshi in my possession, I can make sure the Negaverse can't destroy me."

"I can't believe I almost married you!"

"I intend to make sure you won't," cried Venus Knight. The rescue party stormed into the stronghold.

"Guards!!!" Paris shouted. Twenty ogre-like soldiers stormed in. Paris grabbed Mina and fled the room.

"Venus knight. Get Mina, we'll handle these goom-bahs!" said Sailor Moon with authority. The girls started their attacks as Venus knight pursued Paris.

"Mercury Bubbles Freeze!" Two were frozen.

"Moon Tiara Magic!" The frozen ogres were smashed.

"Mars Fire Snake!" A huge snake made of fire wrapped around five. It squeezed and they burst into flames.

"Jupiter Thunder Crash!" Three were gone.

"Mercury Aqua Mirage!" Two were dead.

"Moon Tiara Magic!" One was dead.

"Mars Fire Snake!" Another five burst into flames.

"Jupiter Thunder Crash!" With the last two dead, Jupiter shouted, "Let's catch up!" She led the others in searching for Paris.

They arrived to find Venus knight and Paris clashing swords. They did back flips and somersaults to avoid each other's attacks. The battle was intense. Paris managed to trip Venus knight. Venus knight rolled away quickly. "You never loved her. She's just another jewel of conquest. Once you 'have your fun' with her, you'll dump her for the next pair of legs that comes your way."

"So what? She'd still be my wife, and I'd still have been king." Paris laughed as their swords struck.

Mina was so infuriated at Paris that she wished he would die again.

"She loved me, fair and square."

"I will have my revenge," seethed Paris.

"Get over it." They sparred and circled the room.

"I will take back what you have stolen from me, you 2 faced bastard," shouted Paris as he knocked the sword from Venus Knight.

As quickly as the sword flew from his hand, Venus knight made a dash for it and he reached for it with his hand. "No!" screamed Mina as Paris was set for the kill. Venus knight grabbed the handle of his sword. As quick as lightning, the battle ended. Venus knight thrust his sword into Paris's chest. He glowed a bright gold and disappeared. The bloodless sword clattered to the floor. Mina ran to her knight's side. She kneeled by him and lifted his mask. "Are you alright Donny?" she asked.

"I..." she kissed him before he could say another word.

They all gathered together and teleported back to Tokyo. Everyone was happy to see Mina again. "Now all we need is to find Jupiter Knight, and then we're all set!" smiled Mina.

Lita hated the attention on her, but she knew Mina was right.

"You newest plan was a failure!" screamed Meg. Insomno cowered. "What do you intend to do about it?"

"I will destroy Sailor Jupiter myself," Insomno disappeared.

"I don't know why we have to do this. I'm sick of it!" shouted Tessa.

"Once the senshi are destroyed, we can be free to rebel against Titanos. His weakness will be our gain," Meg explained triumphantly.

"I don't think it's our gain. It's her gain," Tessa thought to herself.

"There's one thing I don't get. How did you get those Fury Sisters to stop attacking us at the carnival?" asked Mina.

"Okay. It's another long story. It began during the Silver Millennium. Beryl's forces were attacking on Earth. As part of my mission to help Prince Endymion defend Earth, I went to Siberia..." he started.

A quiet farming village was in Siberia, when it once had a warmer climate. There lived the Yeserine family. Mama and Papa were working on their farm. The eldest child, a daughter, worked beside them. She had long ruby hair. Such was the life of the farmer. The family went to town to trade and buy goods. "This is a beautiful fabric, Mama," said the eldest daughter.

"I know my Megaera." Just then, the clomping hooves of warhorses thundered into the town square. The villagers screamed as they were slain with swords, and beaten by clubs. The buildings were set on fire.

"Papa!" screamed Megaera. Her father tried to fight the ringleader, but was stabbed to death. The man wore black armor and his chariot bore a war banner. Megaera recognized it because it was infamous throughout the country. It was the banner of General Scourge.

Mama ran and cried over her dead husband. She glared at Scourge. "May the Ancients condemn you to the vilest depths of Hell!"

He glared at her with scorn. "Foolish woman and her dead meaningless gods!" She spat in his face. He wiped it off and simply said, "Tie her to the chariot." She was forced from her dead husband and bound to the chariot. He stepped off and whipped the horses.

"Mama!" screamed Megaera. Her mother was dragged to death over the rock and rubble in the village square. "You Pig!!!" She began beating on Scourge with her fists.

He managed to grab her by the hair. "Slave girls have no need for vanity." He sliced her hair into Amy's haircut.

"Pick on someone your own size!" exclaimed a voice.

"Venus knight! Everyone flee!" Scourge and his men raced away. He threw Megaera onto the ground leaving her sobbing endlessly.

Venus knight helped her to stand up. He saw she was crying at the dead man and woman on the ground. He guessed they were her parents. "I'm sorry for what happened. I only wish I could have gotten here sooner."

"I can't blame you. It happened so fast." She wiped her tears. She stared at a burning house just half a mile away. "The twins!" She raced towards her farmhouse and Venus knight followed.

"I'll get them." Venus knight ran into the burning house. The heat was searing as he searched for a ladder. The fire slowly consumed the ladder and he made a leap onto the attic. He was soon in the top floor and heard two girls screaming for help. "I'm coming."

"Tessa, wake up!" One girl shook her unconscious sister. Venus knight bent down.

He grabbed Tessa. "Here, I have her. Climb on my back and wrap your arms around my neck." The other girl obeyed and they all leaped out the window.

"Tessa!" Meg slapped her sister to consciousness.

"Oh Meg!" The girl began sobbing hysterically. "It's all over, it's all over. It's a long ago dream... Please say it's all just a long ago dream..." Tessa fainted into a feverish seizure and collapsed.

"I helped the girls to Tokyo. I placed them in the care of a temple. Afterwards, I saw them a week later. They had changed a great deal. They made a bargain with a Negaverse king named Titanos. He fed on their angers and fears. He gave them powers and they became the Fury Sisters. They owed me a favor for saving Tessa's and Alexa's lives. Now that the debt is paid, I'm fair game now."

"We'll need a miracle," sighed Mina.

"Tessa? Why were you screaming?" Meg sat beside her sweat-ridden sister.

"It was a long ago dream..." Meg shuddered at those words. Each sister had a way of dealing with the Massacre of Itstoica, her old village. Meg's rage festered and burned in her heart. Only destruction and violence was the source of her power.

Alexa refused to show her sorrow. She had to be strong and help her emotionally vulnerable twin. Tessa's dark memories were suppressed into surrealistic nightmares and hallucinations.

The sisters were summoned to see the king. "You wanted to speak to us?"

"Don't pretend. I know you have been slacking. Who gave you your powers? Without me, you would have been in that orphanage. And worse, you three could have been separated. I kept you three together because you are stronger as a group. With that strength on the side of the Negaverse, we can destroy Humans and their weaknesses. You know our deal. If you serve me faithfully, I can give you the power to seek your revenge." He knew their goals and played on them.

Meg stared at him with intensity. "We will comply."

"Excellent." He allowed them to leave.

When they were far away, Meg said, "After we kill General Scourge, we will make plans to kill Titanos."

Titanos was watching the sisters with a crystal globe. "Well Meg. You are more ambitious than you let on. Well, I hold the cards, Meg. You and your sisters will not have the power over my head. Try and you will pay dearly."

Sailor Pluto watched the whole scenario. "Oh, if you, the outer senshi and I could help them," she sighed. Pluto, being an A blood type, was always worried about the success of the Plan.

"You, of all people, know it is not the time. They must continue searching on their own," said the woman with the sheaths to Sailor Pluto.

"You have done plenty of interfering! With this whole Silver Light business..."

"You're just too worried. Besides, you know that waking up the planetary knights is necessary. That means that I do have to interfere a little."

"What about Jupiter knight?"

"Titanos and his Fury Sisters are on the move. Not to mention I have to tend to other star systems. We will have someone else send for Jupiter knight."

"Of course, Hand of Fate."

"Farewell, Timekeeper."
